Arryns Trip Godfathers, 6-2
|
Pontiac right fielder Naomichi Kodo was sensational. He went 3-3 with a triple, 2 singles, and 2 walks, but it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Lake Erie beat the Godfathers, 6-2. Fei Mo was the winning pitcher. Over 5 innings, he allowed 1 run on 4 hits, with 7 walks and 3 strikeouts. At 18-19, the Arryns are currently 6th in the Silver A.
Jeffrey Sparks, the Lake Erie third baseman, contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth inning to make the score 3-1, Arryns. For the game, Sparks was 2-4 with 2 singles and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Sparks.
