The Yucca Valley Yellows did just enough to secure a victory over the Kent Comets, 3-2, at Fuller Park. Nobody did more than pitcher Sun-ho Yang. The winning pitcher was Yang, now 2-0. He tossed 7.2 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 6. Yucca Valley now has a record of 18-10 with the win.

Yucca Valley used the timely hitting of Rommel Tomas to capture the win. The designated hitter socked a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Yellows ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.

"We faced good pitching and still got it done," said Tomas.
