Visiting Godfathers Beat Jets, 3-1

Pontiac got a first-rate effort from pitcher Paul Allen, who frustrated Kennesaw hitters en route to a 3-1 Godfathers triumph at Jets Stadium. Allen, now 1-3, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 5, walking 2, and allowing 1 run. The Godfathers go to 10-18 with the win.
It could have been a different outcome for Pontiac, had it not been for Mauro Quijano, the 19-year old left fielder . Quijano contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth inning to put Pontiac up, 2-0.
"Good win," said Quijano. "Maybe some of the whiners in the clubhouse will pipe down for a little while now."
