The Lake Erie Arryns took Huntington pitcher Tyrone Tolbert's best shot and still were able to claim a win at The Shell. The final score had Lake Erie getting past the Hermit Crabs, 4-3. Tolbert went 6 innings and allowed 3 runs, striking out 9. José García snagged the win in relief. In 2 innings, the right-hander allowed no runs on no hits. He's now 2-0 on the season. Lake Erie is 12-15 and Huntington, with the loss, 16-11.
Lake Erie used a timely hit from Nick Moran to get the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Arryns ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Moran. "And not try to do too much."
