Comets Get One-Run Win at Huntington
|
Behind an impressive start by Gary Norman, Kent beat Huntington, 3-2. Alain Monnet earned the save, his 3rd, for the Comets. The Comets, now 16-3, have had a terrific start to the season.
Keith Garner hit a 2-run triple off John Noble in the top of the seventh, which put the Comets in front, 3-2. Garner had 1 single, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 2 for 5.
"If the personal accolades come, so be it," said Garner. "I just want to win ballgames."
