Yucca Valley Yellows starter Lee tai hoi Chen turned in a sterling performance against the Pontiac Godfathers, leading his team to a slim 2-1 win. Yucca Valley is now 13-6.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth, an error by the Godfathers allowed the Yellows to score the winning run.

"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Yucca Valley skipper Pat Carrasco.
