5-2 Loss Extends Niagara Falls Skid
|
The Columbia River Rats grabbed a win, 5-2, over the Niagara Falls Expos at Columbia Stadium. Columbia right fielder Dwayne Foll was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Columbia reliever Raoul Bruggeman picked up the win, upping his record to 4-3. Wulf Hinkamp was saddled with the loss. With the win, the River Rats sit at 49-45.
Foll had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a 2-0 fastball from Wulf Hinkamp, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the River Rats a 5-2 lead. It was the 4th home run of the year for Foll.
"I felt good up there," said Foll. "I saw the ball well."
