Mangos Sneak By Crawdads, 3-2

Starting pitcher Ronald Johnson was a major factor in the 3-2 Kingston Mangos triumph over the Cut Off Crawdads. Kingston reliever Lesta Antamoshkin picked up the win, upping his record to 1-2. Young-jae Chong was saddled with the loss. The win puts Kingston at 53-40 this season.
Kingston used the timely hitting of Mike Gilmore to capture the win. The shortstop socked a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Mangos ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.
"The key at this level is throwing strike one," said Johnson. "Successful pitchers do it."
