Yellows Win at Grand Forks, 2-0
|
The Grand Forks Caterpillars went down to defeat to Herman Clayton and his Yucca Valley teammates. The final score was 2-0 in favor of the Yellows. Picking up the save was Edemona Babitu, his 4th. The win gives Yucca Valley a record of 11-6.
Yucca Valley used the bat of Wilton Meadows to capture the win. The designated hitter jacked a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Yellows ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a dandy.
"It was a solid team effort," said Clayton after the game.
