Loss to Comets Extends Kennesaw Losing Streak
|
Kent Comets starter John Palmer pitched a strong game against the Kennesaw Jets at Fuller Park, leading the Comets to victory, 10-3. Palmer, now 3-0, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 7, walking 6, and allowing 2 runs. For Kennesaw, now 2-14, the season is off to a dismal start.
The game hit a turning point in the bottom of the third inning, when the Comets were trailing 1-0. Rick MacIlleriach delivered a two-out 2-run single for Kent, catapulting his team into the lead.
"We're in a funk and we need to shake ourselves out of it," said Kennesaw manager Cristián Sandoval.
