Monroeville Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
The Monroeville Yinzers topped the Huntington Hermit Crabs, 2-1, in USSL Single A action at Dragoons War Memorial Stadium. The standout performance belonged to Monroeville pitcher and Brookston, Indiana, native Clayton Thomas. The Yinzers, now 3-8, have not found much traction so far in 2048.

Max Rendell was the walk-off hero for Monroeville. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Yinzers center fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"We made a couple of mistakes," said Huntington skipper Mike Evans, "and it cost us."
