Crawdads Rally to Eke Out Win
Alameda shortstop Merrill Manning had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 7-6, to Cut Off at Crawdads Field. Manning went 3-5 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs. Cut Off goes to 54-28. The win puts them 8 games up in their division.

The Crawdads procured the win, in large part because of shortstop Eduardo Tañón. In the bottom of the 12th, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.

"The game is never over 'til it's over," said a jubilant Manuel Barrios, the Cut Off skipper.
