Johnson Excels, But Storm Win
Alameda right fielder Gregory Johnson had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Johnson slugged 2 home runs, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 5, even as Syracuse beat the Airmen, 10-7. The 6th-place Storm have won 5 consecutive games.

Syracuse needed the clutch hitting of Eugene Higgins to notch the win. The left fielder hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Storm on top, 8-6. For the game, Higgins had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager Harris Bailey said.
