Yellows Come Up Short at Huntington, 2-1
|
Huntington Hermit Crabs starter Mark Hodge was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Yucca Valley Yellows, 2-1. The save went to Rex Davis, his 1st this season. Huntington goes to 3-3.
Dave Kramer, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2045 draft, chipped in for Huntington with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the left fielder had 3 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 2 singles, 1 run scored, and 2 runs batted in.
"We were in it," said Yucca Valley manager Pat Carrasco. "We just didn't score enough runs."
