Blue Dragons Upend Gallos, 4-3
|
The Delmarva Gallos and Levittown Blue Dragons provided some drama for the home crowd.
Levittown pitcher Li-zhi Lai did his part in helping his team beat the Delmarva Gallos, 4-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Lai, now 2-0, was the winner. In 5 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 5, walking 2, and allowing 3 runs. Rodger Asmus earned the save for Levittown, his 3rd of the year.
Raúl Miranda had a key at-bat with one out in the top of the fourth for Levittown. With the bases loaded and the Blue Dragons leading 3-2, he hit a sacrifice fly.
"It was a solid team effort," said Miranda after the game.
The loss puts Delmarva at 3-3.
