Getting an impressive start from Conor Starks, Syracuse beat Put-In-Bay by the score of 1-0. Barry van den Hombergh earned the save for Syracuse, his 2nd of the year. Syracuse, at 34-40, occupies 10th place in the Menard's A.
Starks made it look effortless. He scattered 4 hits over 8 innings, while racking up 14 strikeouts. The Syracuse right-hander encountered little resistance from the Put-In-Bay hitters. His season record is now 4-9.
