Reapers Topple Generals, 7-5
|
The Grim Reapers trumped the Washington Generals, 7-5, at Washington Park. Grim center fielder Juan Raspaldo was terrific. He was 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Iván Ferreira got the save, the 8th for him this season. The 8th-place Reapers have won 5 in a row.
Raspaldo had a game-changing home run in the top of the sixth. On a 1-2 circle change from Tony Nelson, he banged a 3-run home run to left-center, giving the Reapers a 7-4 lead. It was the 4th home run of the year for Raspaldo.
"In baseball, you have your ups and downs," said Washington manager Nick Hoskins. "You just try to stay level-headed the whole time."
