The Alameda Airmen beat the Kingston Mangos, 12-11, at Mango Yard. Alameda third baseman Mitch Bryan had an outstanding performance. He went 2-4 with a double and 2 walks, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. Alameda reliever Yu-bao Scott picked up the win, upping his record to 4-1. Chet Thomas was saddled with the loss. The save went to Kevin Rietmulder, his 10th this season.

A key moment came in the top of the eighth inning when Airmen second baseman Bill Gledhill socked a 2-1 sinker to left for a run-scoring single, putting Alameda up, 11-9.

"We were the better team today. Maybe that won't be the case next game, but we'll enjoy it for now," Gledhill told the Alameda Gazette.

At 38-30, the Airmen find themselves in third place in the Menard's A.
