Park Delivers Walk-Off Win for Torch
The Mancelona Torch defeated the Cut Off Crawdads, 8-7, at Torch Field today. Leading the charge for Mancelona was third baseman Basilio Penni. He was 2-3 with 2 home runs and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 3. The winner in relief was Lynn Anderson. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 3 innings. He now owns a record of 3-1. The Torch go to 27-41 with the win.

Mancelona won the game in the bottom of the ninth inning. With two outs and Jason Tipton on the mound for Cut Off, second baseman Cheong-hun Park hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Torch fans to their feet.

"This wasn't a good win," said Penni. "It was a great win."
