Grey Wolves Take Down Leviathan, 5-4
|
Vancouver starter Yaichiro Shini pitched well against the Nova Scotia Leviathan at Wolf Den in Vancouver. The right-hander led his team to a win, 5-4. At 51-57, the Grey Wolves are currently 6th in the Premier League.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 13th inning, when Vancouver left fielder Koryusai Ohayashi, facing Manuel Ruíz, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Grey Wolves the 5-4 win.
"In baseball, you have your ups and downs," said Nova Scotia manager Andrew Powell. "You just try to stay level-headed the whole time."
