Porter Hits 2 home runs in Bulls Win
The Belleville Bulls beat the Mancelona Torch, 8-1, at Torch Field. The win was due in part to right fielder Victor Porter, who belted 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. With the win, Belleville pushed its record to 36-29.

The Torch had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Bulls going into the top of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 23-year old center fielder Artie Smith came to the plate. Smith hit a run-scoring double on a 1-1 fastball from Mancelona hurler Matt Howe. It was Smith's 13th double of the year.

"I still think this team can play even better," Smith told the Belleville Chronicle.
