The Virginia Beach Whales trumped the Olympia Ogres, 7-2, at The Ogre Den. Virginia Beach left fielder Luc Leroux was terrific. He went 2-4 with a double and a walk. He drove in 4 runs. The Whales raised their record to 42-55.
Victor Jensen had a critical at-bat with one out in the top of the eighth for Virginia Beach. He came through with a run-scoring single to put Virginia Beach in front, 4-2.
Jensen called the win "a team effort."
