López Lifts Airmen to 7-1 Triumph
|
The Alameda Airmen beat the Syracuse Storm, 7-1, at Storm Park. Gerardo López, in particular, was impressive. He was 3-5 with a home run and 2 doubles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4. With this game in the books, Alameda is 30-25, Syracuse 24-31.
López had a game-changing home run in the top of the seventh. On a 0-1 fastball from Sergio Vázquez, he banged a 2-run home run to right, giving the Airmen a 3-1 lead. It was the 5th home run of the year for López.
"Our goal is to improve each and every day," López told the Alameda Gazette.
