Long, Thunder Hawks Beat Screaming Eagles, 7-3
The Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks defeated the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles, 7-3, at Thunder Hawks Ballpark. Ft. Polk South third baseman Jonathan Long had a superb performance. He was 3-3 with a home run, a triple, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Mark Brunswick earned the win to go to 6-10. He allowed 1 run on 5 hits, with no walks and 5 strikeouts in 5 innings of work. The 6th-place Thunder Hawks raised their record to 46-47.

The Thunder Hawks grabbed the lead in the bottom of the fourth. With no one out, Pablo Olartecoechea, who is tied for 2nd in the PAA in hits with 105, hit a 3-run home run off Geoffrey Da Costa, putting Ft. Polk South in front, 7-1. For Olartecoechea, it was his 10th home run of the season.
