The Washington Generals got a stellar performance from pitcher Carl Anning, who handcuffed the Cut Off offense en route to a win, 2-0, at Crawdads Field. Dawson Adams locked down his 11th save. Washington raised its record to 22-22 with the win.

Edward Stokes, the 22-year old center fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Stokes contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the eighth inning to put Washington up, 2-0.

"There was no wiggle room in this one," said Anning.
