Rails Roll to 8-2 Win Over Thunder Hawks
The exploits of left fielder Gaballah Murunga, who is tied for 9th in the PAA in home runs with 19, helped the Richland Rails defeat the Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks, 8-2. Murunga was 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. The winner was Jason Walker in relief. His record improves to 2-1. Albert Poe took the loss. The win has Richland at 34-54.

In the bottom of the seventh, Richland first baseman Terry Washington had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and one out, Washington stroked a run-scoring single to left. It made the score 3-2, Richland. For the game, he was 3 for 4 with 3 singles and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Murunga.
