Parker goes 3-for-4 in Whales Win
The Virginia Beach Whales downed the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles, 8-7. The hitting star was center fielder Dan Parker. Parker was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 6 runs and scored once for the Whales. The 8th-place Whales improved to 33-43.

Parker had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a 1-0 fastball from Norio Uchiyama, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Whales a 8-7 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Parker.

"We put it together today and came out with the win," Parker said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
