Crawdads Roll to 9-3 Win Over Torch
|
The Cut Off Crawdads stopped the Mancelona Torch, 9-3, at Crawdads Field. The Crawdads got a big game from Kun Chieu, who went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. Wyatt Butler picked up the win with 7 innings of work. He allowed 3 runs on 6 hits, while walking 0 and striking out 2. On the season, he is now 2-3. Cut Off is now riding a 4-game win streak.
With scoring opportunities rare, the Crawdads had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the second, when right fielder Wu-ti Huang hit a 2-run single. The single came off Pedro Negrón and made the score 2-0, Crawdads. Huang was 2 for 5 with a triple. He scored 2 times and drove in 3.
