Eclipse Need Extra Frames to Get Past Screaming Eagles
With third baseman Ricardo Vásquez leading the charge, the Northville Eclipse defeated the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles, 8-6, at Mercer Island Grounds. Vásquez, who is tied for 6th in the PAA in bases on balls with 38, went 4-8 with 2 home runs and 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. With the win, Northville has a record of 36-32. Mercer Island falls to 36-32.

In the top of the 16th, Vásquez hit a 2-run home run to put his team on top. The Eclipse would go on to win the game.

"This isn't football or hockey where you can overwhelm your opponents," Vásquez told the Northville Today. "Everyone gets 27 outs and we happened to make the most of them."
