Eclipse Sneak Past Rails, 5-4
|
Old-Timers Park was host to some intense drama.
No one was more impactful than Esteban Costello in the 5-4 Northville win over Richland. Costello, who is tied for 5th in the PAA in hits with 59, was 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. The 6th-place Eclipse improved to 24-26.
The Eclipse procured the win, in large part because of center fielder Ron Whelan. In the bottom of the ninth, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.
"What a buzz," said Costello after it was over.
