Baker Leads Mariachis to Win
The Nuevo Mexico Mariachis grabbed a win, 16-5, over the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles at Mercer Island Grounds. Nuevo Mexico third baseman Terry Baker belted 2 home runs, while scoring 4 times and driving in 5. Markus Magee, who went 6.1 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 4 runs on 7 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 3. His record now stands at 4-3. The 'W' lifts Nuevo Mexico's record to 15-21.

Baker put Nuevo Mexico up, 13-4, when he hit a grand slam home run off Paul Kartodirdjo in the top of the seventh. His 3rd home run of the season helped the Mariachis capture the win.

"We put it together today and came out with the win," Baker said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
