4-3 Loss Extends Rocky Mountain Losing Streak
|
Mancelona starter Matthew Briggs pitched well against the Rocky Mountain Vibes at Torch Field. The right-hander led his team to a win, 4-3. Jasper Anraad earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 3 innings. His record is now 1-0. Jorge Cestero closed the game out for Mancelona, earning his 1st save.
Mancelona took a 4-3 lead on Tomás Ventura's 6th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Ventura hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Rocky Mountain pitcher Mike White shaking his head.
"I was a little disappointed," said Rocky Mountain manager Mal Green. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
The Vibes, at 5-12, have stumbled out of the gate.
