Visiting Loons Beat Rails, 2-1

The Minnesota Loons racked up a win at Rails Ballpark, bumping off the Richland Rails, 2-1. Micheal Bly, who started for Minnesota, pitched effectively for his team. Bly got the win, improving to 2-3. He allowed 4 hits and walked 1 over 6 innings. Bly allowed no runs. The win elevated the Loons to 20-14.
Minnesota used the timely hitting of Carlos Blanca to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Loons on top, 2-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"It was just a matter of executing," said Minnesota manager Eddie O'Bryan.
