4-1 Loss Extends Richland Skid
|
The Gulf Coast Turbeaus beat the Richland Rails by a score of 4-1. Gulf Coast right fielder Reynaldo Juárez deserved the lion's share of the credit. Juárez was 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs for the Turbeaus. Gulf Coast has a 4-game win streak, while Richland has lost 7 in a row.
Juárez contributed a big hit, a 2-run double, for Gulf Coast in the top of the fifth. With his team trailing 1-0, Juárez took a fastball from Kensaku Sanu and stroked the double to center. His 1st double of the season allowed the Turbeaus to leap in front, 2-1.
"I'm just happy to help the team win," Juárez told the Gulf Coast Times.
