Corrigan Now 2-1 After Subduing Rails
|
Nuevo Mexico Mariachis starter Arthur Corrigan was dealing. He helped his team knock off the Richland Rails, 4-1. Bob Burke closed the door for Nuevo Mexico, picking up his 7th save of the year. The Mariachis now have a record of 10-15.
Corrigan, who has sometimes raised the ire of coaches and teammates with his famously lackadaisical work ethic, turned in a spirited effort. The hurler struck out 6 in 8 innings and gave up 1 run.
Corrigan, who leads the PAA with a 4 quality starts, moves to 2-1 on the year with 31 strikeouts.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Nuevo Mexico manager Kyle Bass. "It's usually not just one thing."
