Starting pitcher Alfredo Hernández pitched well enough to help the Rocky Mountain Vibes beat the Put-In-Bay Commodores, 4-3. Hernández went 6.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 3, and struck out 6. His record improves to 1-1. Juan González earned the save for Rocky Mountain, his 1st of the year.

The Vibes benefited from a costly error in the bottom of the seventh. With Brad Brown at bat and Rocky Mountain leading 3-2, the Put-In-Bay miscue allowed Rocky Mountain to plate 1 and take the lead, 4-2.

Hernández told a Rocky Mountain Bulletin reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.
