Olympia beat Minnesota on the strength of starter Harvey O'Keefe's fine effort. The left-hander led his team to a win, 4-2. O'Keefe, now 1-0, was the winner. In 6.2 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 2, walking 2, and allowing 2 runs. The Ogres, now 5-2, have been playing some good baseball.
It could have been a different outcome for Olympia, had it not been for Pedro Bravo, the 24-year old catcher . Bravo contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the first inning to put Olympia up, 2-0.
"It was a solid team effort," said O'Keefe after the game.
