With first baseman Gregory Jones leading the charge, the Virginia Beach Whales defeated the Tacoma Fur Traders, 8-4, at Ballpark of Tacoma. Jones, who is tied for 10th in the SAA in triples with 5, was 1 for 2 with a home run and 3 walks. He scored 4 runs and drove in 2. William Gordon, the winner, improved to 10-4.
