Fans saw a dandy of a game between the Barton Springs Blues and Bethesda Atoms.

Cecil Hanson was a major factor in the 4-3 Barton Springs win over Bethesda. The Blues center fielder went 1 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Eric Ramírez got credit for the save for Barton Springs. It was his 25th of the year.

Had Raymond Parsons not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 3rd, Parsons hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Blues.

"We made a couple of mistakes," said Bethesda skipper Ted Hansen, "and it cost us."

The victory gives Barton Springs a record of 54-45.
