Gwinnett pitcher Ronald Love did his part in helping his team beat the Ithaca Fighting Imps, 2-1. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Love went 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 2 hits, walked 4, and struck out 5. His record improves to 9-1. Gwinnett is now 68-21, 11 games up in the Silver AA.

Gwinnett used the timely hitting of Chandler Schroeder to capture the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Guinea Pigs on top, 2-0. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but he made it count.
