Cangrejos Fantasmas Squelch Saboteurs Offense in Shutout Win
|
Chesapeake Cangrejos Fantasmas starter Alex Richardson was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Toledo Saboteurs, 6-0. Chesapeake now has a 3-game win streak.
Gavrie Germashev drew 1 walk, while adding 2 RBI for Chesapeake. The 22-year old center fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the third. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Pablo Montoya. It was his 57th RBI of the season.
Germashev called the win "a lesson in teamwork."
