The Akron Blimps picked up a win at Goodyear Hanger Dome, knocking off the Ithaca Fighting Imps, 4-2. On the mound for Akron was right-hander Chor-min Kim, who played a pivotal role in the win. The win puts Akron at 47-39 this season.

Akron took a 3-2 lead on Alex Kelley's 5th triple of the season. The run-scoring triple, which Kelley hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Ithaca pitcher Gerardo García visibly frustrated.

"I'm just happy to help the team win," Kelley told the Akron Herald.
