Tight Tilt Goes to Blimps, 4-3
|
The Akron Blimps did just enough to sneak past the Ithaca Fighting Imps, 4-3, at Goodyear Hanger Dome. Akron pitcher Rob Anderson, in particular, had a standout performance. Today's win puts Akron at 46-39, while Ithaca falls to 42-43.
Art Hensley broke a 3-3 tie in the bottom of the seventh with a run-scoring walk. It put the Blimps in front, 4-3. For the game, Hensley drew 4 walk.
"Let's just say I'm happy we won," said Hensley. "There are a lot of people in the clubhouse who like to whine too much when we lose."
