Blimps Need Extra Innings to Top Blues, 3-2
|
Akron Blimps starter Sun Tah turned in a sterling performance against the Barton Springs Blues, leading his team to a slim 3-2 win. Mark Moyer earned his 1st save in 1 chances. Akron now sits in 4th place in the Silver AA at 45-39.
Doing his part for Akron was second baseman Hun-hyeon Kang, who stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth. For the game, Kang was 2 for 5 with a double.
Barton Springs manager Joe Kehoe said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
