Ithaca pitcher Vic Trewick did his part in helping his team beat the Chesapeake Cangrejos Fantasmas, 3-0. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. The triumph puts Ithaca at 42-41 for the season.

The Fighting Imps got an important contribution from designated hitter José López, who in the bottom of the fourth hit a 1-2 splitter into left-center for a solo home run. It was his 7th home run of the season and put the Fighting Imps ahead, 2-0.
