The home crowd had a good time watching the Mississippi Mockingbirds and Boston Patriots get after it.
Glenn Suggett never let Mississippi get something going. The Boston right-hander commanded his cutter in pitching the Patriots to a 5-0 win. The win puts Boston at 36-52.
Juan Lugo took Noud Taaij deep in the bottom of the third. His 3-run home run put the Patriots on top, 3-0. In all, Lugo had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
"Glenn -- his tempo and rhythm were good," said Patriots manager Tyler Carter. "He was the key to us winning."
