The Toledo Saboteurs stopped the Bethesda Atoms, 8-5, at Atoms Field. The Saboteurs got a big game from Nick Christensen, who went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4. Ed Pearce got credit for the win, improving to 7-5. He allowed 5 runs on 8 hits in 6 innings. Toledo occupies 8th place in the Silver AA at 32-45.
Toledo used a timely hit from Neyo Caguioa to get the win. The third baseman stroked a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Saboteurs ahead, 7-5. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.
"I just tried to make good contact," said Caguioa.
