Tao Kaukini was a vital contributor to the 8-3 Squirrel Hill victory over Bethesda. The Pierogis second baseman was 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Chris McGee notched his 2nd save in 2 chances. The Pierogis raised their record to 29-42.

The Pierogis got an important contribution from first baseman Freddie Cupp, who in the bottom of the third hit a full count fastball into left-center for a run-scoring double. It was his 4th double of the season and put the Pierogis ahead, 3-1.

"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager Marcos Costa said.
