The Nova Scotia Leviathan dealt the Boston Patriots a 5-4 loss at The Dungeon in Halifax. Yong-hong Ren was the star on offense. He belted 3 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring three times. Nova Scotia reliever Nicolaas Eland picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Rubén Vázquez was saddled with the loss. Nova Scotia bumps their record to 41-46 with the win.
The game came to a dramatic end. In the bottom of the ninth, with Nova Scotia trailing 4-3, Ren hit a fastball from Rubén Vázquez for a 2-run home run, giving the Leviathan the walk-off win.
In postgame comments to the Nova Scotia Herald, Ren said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
