Sim Excels, But Pierogis Win
Goodyear Hanger Dome was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Squirrel Hill Pierogis and Akron Blimps.

The Squirrel Hill Pierogis had to overcome a big game from Akron second baseman Pyeong-ho Sim to leave Goodyear Hanger Dome with a victory. And they did, winning 10-9. Sim was 3 for 5 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 2 times and driving in 5. Squirrel Hill is now riding a 3-game win streak.

Squirrel Hill relied on the hitting of Ramón Marino to pick up the win. The designated hitter clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Pierogis on top, 4-0. For the game, Marino had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"It's nice to come out on top today," said Marino.
